I've been following the tragic case of Cathy Berard, and it's incredibly frustrating that justice still hasn't been served after all these years. One aspect of this case that puzzles me is how no substantial leads have emerged despite the attack taking place in what seems to be a fairly open area. It's hard to believe that nobody saw or heard anything that night. The fact that her injuries were so severe she couldn't be recognized initially is just horrifying. I can't even begin to imagine what her family went through having to identify her that way. It just seems like someone has to know something, even if it's the smallest detail that might help piece together what happened and who was responsible. I’m hopeful that the re-examination of cold cases and modern forensic techniques might one day provide some answers. Cathy and her family deserve that much. Does anyone know if there have been any recent advances or renewed efforts by the police to solve this case? It's high time some justice is found for Cathy and her loved ones.
