I recently came across the tragic case of Manon Dubé from 1978 and, like many of you, I've been haunted by the thought of what her family must have gone through all these years. Something that stands out to me is the reported ransom call her mother received. It's just so cruel and unimaginable for someone to exploit a grieving family in such a way. But it also makes me wonder about the potential leads this could have opened up at the time.
Does anyone know if the origin of that call was ever traced or if any suspects were linked to it? I feel like there might have been more to explore there, and it's a shame if that lead went cold too. My heart goes out to Manon's family, especially her sister Chantal, who fought so hard to keep the case alive. Every detail brings us closer to understanding what happened, even if justice feels overdue. It’s crucial to keep discussing these aspects because no family should ever be left without answers.
