Hi everyone, I've been reading through the details of the tragic case of Barbara Susan Schreiber and Belinda Darlene Zetterower and something I found particularly haunting is the location where their bodies were discovered. The fact that they were found by a canal on the outskirts of the Everglades has me wondering about the significance of that spot. It was an isolated area but known enough that a fisherman and his family came across the terrible scene. Were the killers familiar with the area? It seems too convenient for them to just stumble upon a spot like that. I grew up not far from there, and even back in those days, it wasn't a place you'd just accidentally find—more like somewhere you'd go if you wanted to stay out of sight. Maybe the killers had used that area before? It's chilling to think how premeditated this might have been. If anyone else has thoughts on this or knows more about Andytown's history, I'd love to hear your perspectives. It's so painfully sad knowing these young girls never had the chance to grow up and live their lives. My heart goes out to their families, who've had to endure such an unimaginable loss. Even after almost fifty years, it must feel like yesterday for them. Thank goodness justice has finally been served, even if it's not in the way we all hoped for. Thanks for reading.
