Hey everyone, I've been following the James Ruiz case, and my heart goes out to his family, especially his young son who had to witness such a tragic event. I can't stop thinking about the park itself—the scene of that senseless act. Garfield Lake Park is a place where families should feel safe, a place that's meant for relaxed Sunday outings and fishing trips, not violence. Does anyone know if there have been efforts to increase security there or if the local community has come together to discuss safety measures? I can't imagine how it feels to revisit a location so tied to trauma. It's vital for the area to regain its sense of safety and peace. Sending strength and support to James's family and the community. They shouldn't have to carry this fear alone.
