I can't even begin to imagine the pain that A'mier's family must be feeling right now. It's such an unimaginable loss. One thing that I'm really curious about is how the gun ended up on the couch in the first place. It's so crucial to understand who it belonged to and how it got there. It's a terrifying thought that a child could find something so dangerous just lying around. I hope this case raises more awareness about responsible gun ownership. Anyone who's had a toddler knows how quickly they can get into things—they're so curious about the world. A'mier should have been safe in his own home. My heart goes out to everyone affected, especially the other child who was there. They must be going through so much right now.
