Just reading about the tragic events in Penn Hills and it's tough to comprehend how quickly a domestic situation can turn deadly. My heart truly goes out to Crystal Russ's children and family. It's hard to imagine what those kids are going through, having lost both parents in such a horrific way. I noticed that the event occurred in broad daylight, and that somehow makes it even more chilling. A busy time of the day when neighbors might be coming home from work or kids could be playing outside. The fact that this happened out in the open really shows how desperate and volatile things must have been. In situations like these, it's so important that people know where they can turn for help. I wish Crystal had access to all the support she needed. Does anyone know if there are effective community resources in that area that could have made a difference or that family members might be able to tap into now? I'm hoping there's something or someone out there to help the kids and relatives during this unimaginably difficult time.
