I’ve been thinking a lot about how the community of Brownsville has been coming together in the aftermath of Saturah Hayes’s tragic death. This small town has shown such a powerful display of unity and resilience. Seeing neighbors and friends line the streets to honor Saturah was incredibly moving. It makes me hopeful that we can all work together to support her family through this heartbreaking time. I cannot even begin to imagine what her family is going through right now. I hope they find some solace in knowing that they aren’t alone and that the entire community stands with them. It's clear that this tragedy hasn’t just impacted those who were there that night, but the entire town. Everyone feels this loss deeply. I’m also relieved that the schools made the choice to close right after the incident—giving students and teachers space to grieve was absolutely the right decision. Now, all eyes are on the authorities as they work tirelessly to bring Saturah the justice she deserves. My thoughts remain with her family, friends, and everyone affected. If anyone is reading this and has even a tiniest bit of information, please come forward. It's imperative to not let this kind of violence shatter more lives.
