I've been digging into the Julie Ann Lovett case, and something that's been bothering me is the involvement of Frederick Phillip Hammer. His confession in 2012 initially seemed to offer some resolution, especially since he mentioned a personal connection through his son. However, without any physical evidence or discovery of her remains, it's hard to pin anything down conclusively. What puzzles me is why Hammer would confess without any concrete evidence being found. Was he just seeking attention, or is there more to his connection with Julie that we're missing? I'd love to hear what others think about the credibility of his confession and any similar cases where an inmate's confession led nowhere.

Hey everyone, I was diving back into the Julie Ann Lovett case and something's been bugging me. I've been trying to map out her last known movements after that payphone call at Big Louis's Market. Eyewitness accounts say she was spotted on U.S. 421, but there's pretty much no info on the exact timeline or how long she was on that road. Does anyone know if there were any cameras or additional witness sightings from businesses along that stretch back in 2001? Seems like that could have been crucial in piecing together her movements. Also, didn't anyone find it strange that she used two payphones that close together? Just feels like there's something missing that could tie things up. Would love to hear if anyone's dug up more on this angle!
