I've been reading about the tragic events surrounding Clay Walker's death, and it’s just so deeply unsettling. My thoughts go out to Clay's family and friends who are going through such a tremendous loss. One detail that's been on my mind is the role of technology in solving crimes these days. The fact that the deputy’s dash camera footage was pivotal in identifying and capturing Joseph Richardson seems like a modern-day twist we see more and more. It makes you wonder how many cases in the past might have been solved quicker or even prevented if such technology had been available. It’s remarkable that something as straightforward as a dash cam can capture crucial evidence and change the course of an investigation. I'm thankful for the tools that helped bring a suspect into custody, but it’s still so hard to wrap my head around how something like this could happen on a quiet afternoon.
