Hey everyone, I've been following the Jacob Inselmann case, and something that really strikes me is the role that gun safety seems to have—or not have—played in this tragic event. It's so devastating to think about how a moment's carelessness can lead to such a life-altering outcome, not just for Jacob who lost his life, but also for Evan Cogdill and both of their families. We often hear about gun safety, but this case is such a stark reminder of how critical it is to constantly practice it. I keep wondering, how well do we really know about the proper handling and securing of firearms? Mistakes can happen, but when they involve a firearm, the consequences can be irreparable. I can't imagine the grief Jacob's family must be going through right now, and the weight of responsibility that Evan must feel. Hoping for strength and healing for everyone involved.
