I just heard about the horrifying tragedy that unfolded at the VA clinic involving Nic Crews. My heart goes out to his family and friends during this unbelievably difficult time. What struck me most about Nic was his dedication to helping veterans in need. It seems like he was one of those rare individuals who truly found his calling in making a difference in the lives of others. I can't help but wonder what kind of support systems were in place at the clinic, and whether any additional safety measures might have been needed to prevent something like this. It's incredibly tragic that Nic's life ended in such violence when he dedicated himself to assisting others, especially in a setting where people were seeking help. I'm hoping in the wake of this, there will be a closer look into ensuring safety measures for all those working in similar environments. My thoughts are with Alyssa and their children, and I hope they find support and strength in the community around them.
