I recently came across Julie Cunningham's story, and it's been weighing heavy on my mind. It's just beyond tragic how a young woman with so much ahead of her vanished in the blink of an eye. I was reading about how Bundy often used his faux injury ruse to prey on the kindness of his victims, and it just makes my skin crawl. Julie was known to be someone who would go out of her way to help others, and it's devastating to think that her good nature was manipulated by such a vile predator. It’s also quite chilling to think about the possible location where Bundy claimed to have buried her. Knowing that he went back to the site afterwards feels like he was reliving his power over his victims in the most grotesque way. It pains me that Julie’s family never got to lay her to rest properly. After all these years, one can only hope that with advancements in technology and new investigative methods, there might be a chance to find her remains and hopefully bring some peace to her loved ones. Although Bundy’s gone, his victims and their families continue to endure unimaginable suffering. My heart goes out to them. ?
