I can't get Marie Walls out of my mind. I didn't know her personally, but reading about her dedication to justice and her community just resonated with me deeply. It's so unsettling to think about how someone who spent so much of her life advocating for victims could find herself in such a tragic situation. I was particularly struck by her commitment to staying in touch with victims even after their cases were resolved—what a compassionate and selfless individual. I've been following the investigation as closely as possible, and the idea of this being an accidental, self-inflicted gunshot wound is so shocking. It really makes you wonder about the circumstances leading up to that day. It's a grim reminder of the importance of mental health awareness, even among those who appear so strong and accomplished. My thoughts are with Marie's family, friends, and colleagues. She seemed to have made a significant impact on so many people, and I hope they find solace in the fact that she left such a meaningful legacy. I can't imagine what her loved ones must be going through right now, and I just hope they receive all the support they need during this difficult time.
