It's hard to even begin processing the tragedy that unfolded in Vass on Valentine's Day. I keep thinking about Kateryna's younger siblings who were in the house at the time. They had already gone through so much having to flee their homeland due to the war, and now this unimaginable trauma has been added to their lives. My heart goes out to them and their entire family. The fact that Caleb drove all the way from Ohio is chilling—like, what was going through his mind during those hours on the road? It just doesn’t make any sense, and my thoughts keep going back to how random and senseless this act of violence seems. I hope they receive all the support and love from the community that they need right now. Also, kudos to the swift action by law enforcement in apprehending the suspect. Just hoping justice is served, and the family can begin to find some measure of peace.
