I can't stop thinking about the kids in Shelley's class who suddenly have to make sense of this senseless tragedy. It's unimaginable how confusing and scary this must be for them, especially with someone they trusted and loved suddenly gone. I can't help but wonder how the school is handling it beyond what's been said officially. Hopefully, the support services they’ve put in place are truly accessible and effective. It's comforting to think that the school community is coming together in her memory, but it's still such a long road of healing ahead for everyone involved. Has anyone heard how the students are doing, or if there's a plan to honor Shelley's life and work with them? My heart really goes out to those kiddos. They must be facing such a complex mix of emotions.
