It's so tragic to see something like this happen in our community, especially to someone as beloved as Dewand. The spot where this took place, in the parking lot outside the Wendy's, has become a poignant reminder of how quickly life can change. I can't help but think about the staff and regulars who knew him. They must be struggling with the sudden loss, especially seeing everything unfold where they spend their day-to-day lives. Parking lots, which we usually consider so mundane, can suddenly transform into settings of trauma and sorrow. I really hope the police can find whoever is responsible for this terrible act. Dewand's friends and family deserve answers and some form of justice. Has anyone heard if there's been any updates from the investigation? It feels like the community is holding its breath, hoping for a breakthrough. Sending strength and love to those who are grieving right now.
