Hey all, I'm new to the forum but have been following the William "Willy" Worley case ever since they announced the remains were found. Something that's been nagging at me is the absence of a gun at the site where his remains were discovered. It's mentioned that the cause was a gunshot wound to the head, yet no weapon seems to have been recovered.
Could this suggest that someone else might have been involved, since it seems unlikely that he would have ventured that far off a trail to end his life and left no trace of the weapon? Or maybe it's possible that natural elements moved it elsewhere over time? Has anyone else been considering this angle or heard anything about a potential weapon during the search efforts back then? Would love to hear what others think about this, as it feels like such a key piece to understanding what actually happened to Willy.
