I’ve been following the tragic incident involving Haven Alexander McBride, and it’s just so upsetting to think about how such a promising life was cut short. Haven had just graduated and was on the brink of starting a new chapter. Knowing he won’t get to experience that next phase is deeply saddening. I can't help but feel a mix of emotions about the stepfather's actions. It baffles me that anyone would handle a firearm in such a casual manner, especially around family. What really haunts me is that there seems to have been a delay before CPR was initiated. It's hard to wrap my head around those four minutes—what was going on in his mind during that time? Could faster action have made a difference? Haven’s friends and family describe him as hardworking and kind, and it’s clear he will be greatly missed. My heart truly aches for his loved ones who are navigating this painful reality. I hope they can find some form of justice and peace as the legal process unfolds. If only we could turn back time and change the outcome.
