Hey everyone, I've been digging into Robert "Bobby" Fitzgerald's case, and one thing that's been bugging me is the lack of any signs or traces on the Confederate Breastworks Trail. Given that he was an experienced hiker, it strikes me as odd that nothing was found, not even a piece of clothing or other personal items that could yield any clues. It's like he vanished without a trace. Does anyone else find it strange that there's been no physical evidence at all? Even with the searches and the skilled people involved, it's baffling how silent the trail has remained. Could it suggest something more deliberate at play? Would love to hear your thoughts.

I’ve been wondering about the Confederate Breastworks Trail and if there are any hidden spots or caves Bobby could have encountered that search parties might have missed. I've read that area's pretty remote, and sometimes even experienced hikers can find themselves in unexpected situations. I'm not a local, but I've done some hiking in rugged terrain, and I know it's easy to overlook those little off-trail nooks if you're not explicitly looking for them. Could those have been overlooked during searches? Anyone familiar with the area have thoughts on this?

I've been following the Robert "Bobby" Fitzgerald case and something has been bugging me. Has anyone else noticed how unusual it is for an experienced hiker like Bobby not to leave some kind of trail or clue about where he went? Given his familiarity with the area, wouldn't he have known the best spots to check for his phone? It's really baffling that even with all the search efforts, nothing turned up. The weather conditions around November in the Shenandoah region can be pretty unpredictable. Could something sudden have caught him off guard, like unexpected weather changes? I know experienced hikers can sometimes get overconfident, thinking they'll be fine despite the conditions. Unfortunately, nature can be unforgiving. Has anyone looked into the weather reports from that time to see if it might have played a role in his disappearance? Thoughts?
