I am one of Betty’s great-nieces. There is a recent post about Betty. There are 350+ comments from family, including Betty’s children. Lots of information and input on there but very clear now to the public how much this has damaged the family and has destroyed her children.

we are still searching for answers.

Are there any leads or speculation of what happened? It is so frustrating when you hear of a person that just 'dissapears' into thin air. I don't see how that is even possible. Someone must know something. This is just awful.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the timeline when Betty Ann Place went missing. It seems like the morning of June 14, 1978, is the last confirmed sighting of her, but did anyone ever get a detailed account of who saw her and what she was doing then? I wonder if there are any unverified sightings or encounters reported by neighbors or people passing by that morning. Small towns like Warner often have those informal networks of information, and I can’t help but think someone might have seen something that got overlooked. Are there any local rumors or stories that might point towards a new angle on this case? It's been decades, and yet it feels like there might still be threads to pull at if we knew where to look.
Has anyone else come across information about the neighbor Betty Ann Place had on Joppa Road? I’ve been digging around for details and keep coming back to this mystery neighbor who, according to a few old articles, was one of the last people to see Betty before she vanished. It doesn’t seem like there's a lot of info available, but I find it odd that there hasn't been more said about this person over the years, considering they might have been among the last to see her. Surely someone in the community back then would've had more insights or interactions with the neighbor? If anyone has an angle or some context, I would love to know more. I feel like even a small detail here could potentially shine a light on Betty's case. Let's keep this discussion going and see if we can uncover anything new!
I've always been curious about the smaller details that might slip through the cracks in cases like Betty Ann Place's. I recently came across an article mentioning her love for gardening and how she had a beautiful rose garden at her home on Joppa Road. Does anyone know if her garden was examined at the time of her disappearance? I wonder if there might have been any overlooked clues within that space or if she had a particular attachment or routine that could provide insight into the days leading up to June 14, 1978. It's just a thought, but sometimes the intimate details of a person’s daily life can offer clues that aren't immediately obvious. Has anyone else come across information that references her garden or hobbies? It could be a long shot, but it might help piece together a bigger picture of her life at that time.
