Has anyone else noticed how deeply unsettling it is to think about the trust we place in healthcare professionals? I’ve been reading about the DaVita Dialysis Clinic case in Lufkin, and it haunts me to think about those patients, like Garlin Kelley. Can you imagine going in for a treatment that’s supposed to help you, only to fall victim to something so treacherous?
Thinking about Garlin Kelley's case in particular, it’s heartbreaking to know that he and the others had no idea what was happening to them. The betrayal feels immense, especially for the families who expected their loved ones to be in safe hands. It's appalling how Saenz abused her position so gravely. My thoughts really go out to Mr. Kelley’s friends and family, who had to endure such a senseless loss.
Has anyone heard any more recent updates on how the families are doing now? Just hoping they're finding some way to heal after such a shocking tragedy.
Has anyone looked into how the aftermath of the Lufkin clinic case might have impacted the families, particularly Garlin Kelley's loved ones? It's hard to imagine the pain and confusion they must have felt, seeing someone they trusted for medical care become the subject of such a horrific investigation. I'm curious about whether there were any community support efforts or counseling provided to help them cope with the shock and loss. Also, how did they feel about the trial and sentencing? Understanding their perspective could shed a lot of light on how this tragic event affected the tight-knit community in Lufkin. Thoughts?
