I can't shake the disbelief over the lack of oversight in so many of these care facilities. Joseph Campbell's story is just one more tragedy in a string of preventable horrors. It's deeply troubling to think how easily Pressdee moved between jobs despite having a history of disciplinary issues. What checks were in place, if any? My thoughts are with the families, like Campbell's, who trusted these places with their loved ones' care. The lawsuit they filed against Quality Life Services might bring some accountability, but the systemic failures still need addressing. How are these red flags missed? It's unnerving to think about the vulnerability of patients in such places where caregivers are supposed to act as protectors, not predators. I hope this case leads to significant changes in how staff are monitored and managed to prevent another predator from slipping through the cracks. Anyone have any thoughts on what kind of regulations could actually make a difference?
