Has anyone else looked into Ruth Severance's financial situation before she went missing? I know she was struggling and had just been evicted from her apartment, but I'm curious if anyone has more details on her finances or if she was trying to secure new employment. Given the time of year, it’s possible she was considering temporary work over the holidays. I've read that financial stress can complicate matters and even impact decisions or the people you associate with. Maybe someone around her knew about her struggles and could have offered help or had a different motive? Just trying to piece together if there’s more to her situation that might give us a new angle to consider. Any thoughts or info would be appreciated!

I've always found the details surrounding Ruth Severance's disappearance intriguing—especially the part about her ex-husband's injuries. It's so odd to me that Pete claimed Ruth was responsible for the scratches and black eye but then chose not to follow through with a polygraph test. Why back out if you have nothing to hide? ? It makes you wonder if there's more to the story that hasn't been revealed. I also wonder how thorough the investigation was back then, considering the technological limitations of the '80s. Did they check any possible CCTV footage from Memorial City Mall or the stores they visited? Although it was the early '80s, some places did have security cameras. It's just so frustrating that cases like this can remain unsolved for so long. Hopefully, with time, someone will have the courage to come forward with new information. Ruth's son deserves to know what happened to his mother.
