Hello all,
I've been diving into the details of Tommy Hatfield's disappearance, and something curious caught my eye. Has anyone else looked into the environmental aspect around Clairfield in 1987? I know it sounds odd, but hear me out. Clairfield is pretty rural, surrounded by some heavy woodlands. I wonder if there's any chance Tommy might've headed out for a hike or to clear his mind and perhaps an accident happened out there? I know it’s been years and lots of searches were done, but those woods could hide anything… especially back in the 80s when search technology wasn't as advanced as today.
Just thinking out loud here, but maybe a fresh look at those areas, specifically places that might have been too dense or remote to check before, could turn up something now? Would love to know if anyone has thoughts or if the terrain has changed much since then.
Keep the ideas coming!
I was recently reading about Tommy Hatfield's disappearance and something caught my attention—why aren't there more details about his social circle from back then? I know Clairfield is a small community, and you'd think people would have more to say about who he was hanging out with or if anyone new had come around during that time. It’s strange that we don’t hear much from people who knew him well. I wonder if any of his old friends have spoken up over the years, or if anyone remembers spotting him with someone unfamiliar. It's been so long, but people still might have those bits of memory that could make a difference today.
Has anyone else looked into the possibility that Tommy's disappearance might be connected to some of the suspicious activities rumored to be happening in the area around the time he went missing? I remember hearing some older folks talk about possible criminal elements setting up shop in and around Clairfield back in the late '80s. It makes me wonder if Tommy could have stumbled upon something he shouldn’t have. I know it’s barely anything to go on, but given the close-knit nature of our community, it just doesn’t add up that nobody saw or heard anything. Maybe someone felt too scared to come forward back then? Decades later, it could be worth seeing if any older residents have stories or clues they’re willing to share anonymously now. Just a thought!
