I've been following the case of George Dewey Turnmire's tragic passing, and I can't stop thinking about the woman and those four juveniles who were in the house during the incident. It's hard to imagine the fear and helplessness they must have felt. Being forced to lock themselves in a room, unsure of what might happen next, is a terrifying situation. My thoughts are especially with the caller – can you imagine having to make that 911 call while trying to keep calm and protect the kids at the same time? It's an incredibly brave thing, and I hope they're finding support and comfort as they process this traumatic event. The emotional impact on them is bound to be immense, and I hope the community is rallying around them as well. Has anyone heard if there are services in place to help them cope with this ordeal?
