I've been thinking a lot about Kimberly Creer today. It's hard to imagine the fear and betrayal she must have felt in her last moments. Gillham Park seemed like any other place where people could unwind and feel at ease, but it became a site of terror during that awful string of murders. It’s just so unfair that this serene place in our community was overshadowed by such horrific events. The fact that Jackson was finally caught because someone just happened to be walking their dog is both chilling and relieving. It makes you wonder how many close calls there might have been. I feel for Kimberly's family and friends who have had to grapple with such a public and traumatic loss. It’s a sad reminder of how one person’s cruelty can impact so many lives.
