It's truly amazing to consider how she was able to think on her feet in such a terrifying situation. She's an inspiration not only for her strength in surviving but also for how she continues to honor her family by sharing her story. Her ability to speak publicly about her experience and push for awareness around domestic violence is helping keep their memory alive while impacting others who might be facing similar situations. My thoughts are with her and the entire community, as their support has clearly been a crucial part of Cassidy's journey to healing. Wishing her and the extended family continued strength and comfort.
I came across something truly moving regarding the Stay family tragedy and felt compelled to share it with you all. I came across an interesting part of the trial that I hadn't realized until recently. During Ronald Lee Haskell’s trial, one of the pivotal pieces of evidence seemed to be the 911 call made by Cassidy Stay. Special commendation should go to this brave young woman, who despite her unimaginable trauma, managed to keep her composure enough to alert the authorities. I can't even begin to imagine the strength it must have taken for Cassidy to do what she did at just 15 years old. Her call not only helped save her own life by getting help there as soon as possible but also ensured the swift capture of Haskell, preventing further harm.
