I've been following the case of Deandra and Freddie Allison, and there's something I've been thinking about lately. The community's response in the aftermath of their tragic deaths was both moving and powerful. I read that their funeral service at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church was attended by so many people from Longview and beyond. It really shows the strength and support of their community during such an incredibly tough time. I'm also reminded of the resilience of their family and friends. They managed to come together not just to mourn, but to celebrate the lives of Deandra and Freddie. It's comforting to see people surrounding the family with love and support, acknowledging their pain, and standing with them in solidarity. If there's a silver lining in such a tragic event, it's how it brought people together and sparked conversations about the importance of addressing domestic and gun violence. My heart goes out to the Allison family, and I hope they continue to find strength in each other and in their community.
