I've been following the case of Israel Perez, and something that keeps nagging at me is the modifications on the shotgun he was handling that night. It's so troubling to think that removing safety features like the trigger guard could lead to such a tragic outcome. I’m not a firearms expert, but it seems like common sense that messing with something as critical as a trigger guard can only spell disaster. I wonder who modified it and why it was deemed a good idea or if Israel even knew about those changes. My heart goes out to his family; losing someone this way must be incredibly difficult. It also makes me nervous thinking about how prevalent such modifications might be and just how many people could be at risk because of them. Has anyone else heard of similar incidents or know how common these kinds of modifications are?
