I just came across Gabrielle Barrera's case, and one detail that's been tugging at me is her involvement in musical theater at Canyon High. As someone who's always found solace in the arts, I can only imagine how much joy and community Gabrielle found there. I hope her fellow cast members and theater friends are finding ways to honor her memory through their shared love for the stage. In the wake of such a horrific tragedy, it's comforting to see the school providing grief support, but I can't help but wonder about the long-term impact on those who knew her best. Musical theater often becomes like a second family, and losing a member so suddenly must be incredibly difficult.
