I’ve been thinking a lot about Grace Kaldenberg and what she must have meant to her community. I’ve read that she worked at UTMB and Monsanto/Sterling and was there for 25 years. That’s decades of dedication and hard work. Imagine the relationships she built and the lives she touched during that time. I really wish we knew more about her life and career because it feels like there’s a story of resilience and commitment there, one that deserves to be celebrated and remembered. Has anyone come across any stories or memories from her colleagues or friends during those years? It’s just so devastating to think about how this all ended, but I hope her contributions and the good she brought to those around her won’t be forgotten.

Has anyone else been thinking about how incredibly isolating and difficult it must have been for Grace and Donald in those last moments? From what I gather, they were both dealing with serious health issues, and it's just so unbelievably sad to imagine the weight of those struggles on them both. It doesn't excuse what happened, of course, but it makes me wonder about their mental state and the pressures they were under. It's a chilling reminder that we often don't know the silent battles others are going through. I hope Grace's family can find some peace and that the community continues to support one another in the wake of such a tragic event. If anyone has any resources for helping older adults in similar situations, it might be helpful to share them here.
