Attended a vigil for Diamond last night, and I can't shake the overwhelming sense of loss her family must feel. Everyone spoke so highly of her, especially about how she would light up a room with her smile. It got me thinking about how often these domestic violence situations go unseen by those around us until it's too late. I'm particularly disturbed by Marin's behavior, referring to Diamond in such a dehumanizing way during his interviews. It makes me wonder if that might have been a warning sign of a deeper issue. Didn't they say Marin showed no signs of remorse? How chilling. Diamond's mom, Dalila, is so strong for wanting to turn this tragedy into a push for more resources for DV victims. I'm definitely going to look into what more I can do locally to support these efforts. This has been an eye-opener about just how crucial it is to be aware and proactive. If anyone knows of any good organizations to support, please share. Sending love and strength to Diamond's family and those precious little ones who lost their mother far too soon.

I keep thinking about the impact this tragedy has had on Diamond's kids, Adali and Nathaniel. Growing up without their mom is just such a tough path. I can't imagine the pain that Dalila, as a grandmother, must feel having to shoulder that burden and fill in for Diamond. The strength of this family to rally together for those children is incredible, but it's a pain no family should have to endure. I hope they have a strong support system around them as they navigate this immense loss. It's a reminder of how important it is to speak up and support victims of domestic violence, so that more children don’t lose a parent in such a senseless way. My heart goes out to them all.

Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about how this tragedy speaks to the broader issue of domestic violence's silent nature. It's tough knowing that women like Diamond felt trapped in a situation like this, and it's even tougher to think there are more out there going through the same thing with no way out. I hope that, as a community, we can come together to promote resources and encourage more open conversations about this. Diamond's story, unfortunately, isn't unique, but it can still be a turning point if we make it one. Her bravery in facing her circumstances shouldn't be forgotten, and perhaps one way we can honor her memory is by making sure others don't suffer in silence. Stay safe out there, everyone. ?✊
