Hey everyone, I recently came across the case of Frances "Sandy" Crownover, who went missing back in 1987. Something that's been really bugging me is the timing of her last known phone call. According to reports, she called a friend from a convenience store on November 28. I'm wondering if anyone has looked into the pattern of phone calls she made prior to November 26 to identify any significant changes or unusual frequencies. It seems like understanding her communications leading up to her disappearance could provide some clues—like if she was in regular contact with someone new or different right before she went missing. Also, why a convenience store? Was this a common place for her, or could it have any special significance? Would love to hear any thoughts or insights on this angle!
Has anyone else noticed how strange the timing is with Frances Crownover's disappearance? She vanishes right after Thanksgiving, a time when most people are with family. It’s odd to think she’d just leave without a trace after reportedly planning to contact someone. I mean, if she really intended to disappear suddenly, wouldn't she have grabbed more than just $200? It just doesn’t add up for me. Also, I can’t get over the fact that it took so long for her to be reported missing. That’s a whole week! Just makes you wonder what else might have been going on behind the scenes. Thoughts?
Has anyone else found it odd that Frances left behind nearly all her personal belongings? I mean, taking $200 seems more like someone planning a short trip rather than disappearing altogether. Also, if Frances planned to leave on her own accord, why not take her vehicle? Wouldn't that have made it easier for her to travel or stay away unnoticed? The note saying she'd call later makes me feel like she didn't intend to be gone for long, yet no follow-up call was ever made.
Plus, calling a friend from a convenience store on the 28th suggests she might've been in a hurry or didn't want to be traced. It's all so mysterious. Could she have been in distress or forced to leave? I hope someone comes forward with new info soon.
