I keep thinking about how incredibly brave Stephanie was during those terrifying final moments. It's hard to imagine the strength it took for her to call her mother and try to stay composed despite everything going on around her. It just breaks my heart. I wish there had been some way for her to reach safety before it came to this. Her story highlights just how important it is for us to listen to the signs and support those in abusive relationships. We need to keep having these difficult conversations and encourage anyone who feels trapped to reach out for help. My thoughts are with her family—I can't begin to fathom the pain they're feeling right now. Let's all keep sharing these stories so no other family has to go through such a devastating loss.
