I was reflecting on the tragic loss of Amy Katharine Lange and came across something that struck a chord with me. It's been nearly a decade, but the way Amy's students still speak about her influence is both touching and powerful. It seems she touched so many with her passion for art and education, creating an environment where kids felt seen and inspired. I can only imagine the void her absence must have left at Millington Central High School. It must have been incredibly difficult for her students to process such a loss, especially in the wake of a tragedy involving someone they held in such high regard. I'm curious if any initiatives have been established in her honor to help students cope with loss or to promote the arts in her memory. Her legacy seems too vibrant to not have inspired enduring projects that reflect her spirit. If anyone has details or firsthand experiences to share, I'd love to hear more about how her life and work continue to influence the community.
