Has anyone else been following the Keller Knowles case from Cookeville? I've been thinking a lot about the involvement of recently purchased firearms in family tragedies like this. It's incredibly unsettling to think about how easily accessible they can be and the permanent consequences they can cause in moments of distress. Keller was only 18, just starting his life, and it's incredibly tragic what happened to him and his mother, Penny. I can’t even begin to imagine what might have been going through Penny’s mind. This case still leaves me with so many questions. Was there a way to prevent this? Were there any signs that might have hinted at the tragic outcome? I feel for the family and friends left behind who are dealing with such an immense loss. It's essential that we have these conversations to hopefully prevent similar tragedies from happening in the future. ?
