Hey all, I've been mulling over the details of Wipert's case, especially the two missing horses—anyone else think this is a peculiar twist? Wipert vanishes, and so do a bay and a black gelding, both sporting star and half-circle brands. Meanwhile, the fact that a third horse was left incredibly malnourished and without water just doesn't sit right with me. Horses are such social animals, and leaving one behind while taking off with two others feels intentional, but for what reason? Is it possible that Wipert planned to meet someone who he trusted enough to leave everything else behind? Maybe they took the horses as part of some bigger plan that took a turn? And what about those missing horses—could they have been meant as part of some sort of barter or trade? It seems like such an odd detail to ignore, given they could've left permanent tracks or traces. What do you all think? Would love to hear other theories!

I'm really intrigued by Wipert's disappearance, especially the detail about the horses. It's puzzling that a bay gelding and a black gelding vanished along with him. Considering their distinctive branding, you'd think they would have been spotted somewhere. Horses can be surprisingly hardy, and if anyone saw them wandering, it could provide a crucial lead. Has anyone looked into reports of stray horses in nearby communities, either in Alaska or across the Canadian border? It seems strange that they just disappeared without a trace. Since he clearly intended to head towards Canada and left some horses behind, maybe there was a plan to take specific ones. I wonder if there’s more significance to the route he marked out, or if something spooked him into leaving so quickly, but it feels odd with no sightings of those animals.

Hey everyone, I've been following the Wipert case and something's really puzzling me. Why would someone as unfamiliar with the area as Wipert write a note saying he's checking out a cabin that doesn't exist? It seems odd to mention something so specific that can easily be verified – or in this case, debunked. Could the note have been a red herring meant to mislead anyone who might come looking for him? It's also curious that no foul play is suspected despite the odd state of the lodge and the missing horses. It feels like there's more than meets the eye here, especially considering the proximity to the Canadian border. I'm interested to know what others think about this. Do you think Wipert had any intentions of disappearing on purpose, or could the note indicate an entirely different scenario? And what about the horses? Why take two and leave the others? It's baffling!
