Hey everyone, I've been thinking a lot about the impact Jesus Reyes had on those kids he mentored in Davidson County. It's so moving to hear how he inspired them, not just in soccer, but in chasing their dreams. With everything going on, I keep wondering if those kids truly grasp the enormity of what happened. They've lost a mentor and friend in such a senseless way. Do any of you know if there's been any effort to support these kids emotionally? Soccer was such a big part of Chuy's life, and it seems like keeping that going for them could be a way to honor his memory while providing some comfort and stability. If anyone has heard of local initiatives or programs being set up, I'd love to know more. Surely, the ripple effect of this tragedy reaches far beyond his immediate loved ones, and focusing on these kids might be a positive step forward for the community. Sending strength and hugs to everyone grappling with this terrible loss.
