I've been following Benny Wayne Maness' case for a while now, and despite Todd Allen Robbins being rightly convicted, I keep thinking about the emotional toll this has had on Benny's family and friends. I can't imagine how devastating it must have been to learn the gruesome details about how Benny’s life was taken so senselessly. There's something about the fact that the suspect was someone Benny knew that makes it all the more unsettling. Trust broken in such a horrendous way is tough to come to terms with. And it’s chilling to think about how Robbins could commit such a brutal crime just to steal Benny's truck. It reminds me of how vulnerable people can be when they assume they’re safe around acquaintances. I hope Benny’s family finds some comfort in knowing that Robbins will never be free to harm another soul. But still, losing someone you love in such a violent way is something nobody should go through. I'm sending all my love and support to everyone who cared for Benny. ?
