Hi everyone, I came across some information about Patrolman James Golden's murder, and it got me thinking about his family. Losing a loved one under such tragic circumstances must have been incredibly difficult for his wife and four children, especially given the time period. I've always wondered how families coped with such sudden and violent losses back then, particularly without the support networks and resources we have today. It's disheartening to consider that his killer was never brought to justice, and I can't imagine the frustration and heartbreak his family must have felt knowing the suspect was out there, living freely. I wonder if anyone knows whether Golden's family was able to find some semblance of peace or closure after his death, despite the suspect not being held accountable? It's a sad reminder of how the system often fails the victims and their families. Keeping the Golden family in my thoughts today. It's important to remember the human stories behind these cases.
