Does anyone else find it chilling that despite the severity and impact of the Kelayres Massacre, Joseph James Bruno and his family never really faced lasting justice? Andrew Kostishion, along with the others, had his life senselessly taken, and yet, over time, the Bruno family members were released on parole. It's difficult to grasp how such a violent act could result in paroles, but sadly, that's the reality. The brutal loss for both Andrew's family and the tight-knit Kelayres community must have left deep scars. I can't help but wonder how they coped as the years went on, knowing the individuals who caused them so much pain were allowed back into society. It's a somber reminder of the complexities within our justice system.

It's really gut-wrenching to think about what Andrew Kostishion and the others went through during the Kelayres Massacre. What really strikes me about this case is the utter chaos and fear that must have swept through that small community. Imagine attending a parade, something that's supposed to be a cheerful and unifying event, only to have it turn into a scene of terror because of rising political tensions. I can't help but wonder how Andrew's family coped with such a sudden and violent loss. The trauma of losing a loved one, especially in such an unexpected and public manner, must have left a lasting mark on his relatives and friends. It's disheartening to see how political differences escalated to such an extreme level back then. I hope that by learning about these incidents, we can find ways to bridge the divides in our own communities today and work towards preventing anything like this from happening again.
