Has anyone heard anything new about the disappearance of Seibold? I've been following this case for years, but it seems like not much information is available. Was there any evidence found in the area around the Gates of the Arctic? Given the conditions and the fact that he was such an experienced survivalist, it's baffling to think he just vanished without a trace. Also, I'm curious about the community's thoughts on the remote location—does it make you think something more sinister could have happened, or is it more likely that the vast, unforgiving wilderness was just too much even for someone with his skills? I'd love to hear what you all think!
Hi everyone,
I've been digging into Seibold's case and something about the disappearance keeps nagging at me. Seibold was last seen at a cabin north of Ambler, and we know he might’ve tried to venture further into the Gates of the Arctic National Park. This place is massive and treacherous, with no roads or trails—the kind of wild terrain only someone with Seibold's skills might feel comfortable in.
But what if something unexpected happened before he even left the area around the cabin? I'm curious about the conditions around the cabin itself. Did anyone local notice unusual weather patterns or wildlife behavior during that time of year? Also, considering he was so experienced, why is there no trace at all? With a survivalist like him, there would likely be some remnants of camp or supplies if he decided to set out to such a remote area, right?
For anyone familiar with this region, does it seem odd that an expert like Seibold would disappear without a single lead? I keep coming back to the idea that perhaps he never even got to attempt crossing into the national park. If anyone has more insight into the typical environmental conditions around Ambler during late September, I'd love to hear your thoughts.
