I’ve been digging into the disappearance of Scott French, and something that hasn’t been discussed much is the weather and sailing conditions on July 14, 2013. It seems like that info could be crucial. Does anyone know how the weather was that day around the Lake Ontario area? Heavy winds or unexpected storms could have played a role in his disappearance or where his boat ended up. I wonder if there are weather service reports or local news archives that could shed light on any unusual conditions that might have taken him off course. Always curious about how these environmental factors come into play or if anyone local remembers anything unusual from that day.
Did anyone else notice the strange spot where Scott French's boat was found? Point Petre is quite a distance from where he started his sailing trip in Sodus Point. It seems odd that his boat drifted all the way to Ontario, doesn't it? I'm curious if the current patterns or weather conditions could have pushed it there, or if someone might have intentionally taken it off course. Might be a stretch, but this detail just feels significant. Anyone familiar with the area have any thoughts on what could have led a boat to end up there?
Has anyone else been following the Scott French case? I find it puzzling how his boat was discovered so far from where he set off, especially as it ended up in Canadian waters near Point Petre. The distance between Sodus Point and Ontario is significant, so something must have taken him off course. Could the weather have played a role that day, or maybe there was an issue with the boat itself? I recall hearing that unexpected currents could pull a small vessel quite a distance, but it still leaves so many questions unanswered. If anyone has more info or theories about what might have happened during his voyage, I'd love to hear them. It's been over a decade, and it doesn't seem like investigators have found any solid leads.
