Has anyone looked into the role that community engagement plays in cases like George Ray's? I've been reading about how the Detroit Police Department has faced a lot of hurdles, especially when witnesses or potential sources aren’t coming forward. It must be so tough for George’s family and others in similar situations to know there might be people out there with answers who aren’t speaking up. A friend of mine once volunteered in a neighborhood safety initiative and said it made a huge difference in encouraging people to share information. I wonder if more grassroots efforts could help bridge this gap and support the detectives working on George's case. What are everyone’s thoughts on community-led initiatives partnering with law enforcement? Could this be part of the solution? My heart goes out to George’s friends and family during this time.

It's so sad to hear about George Ray's case. Something that really stands out to me is the location—Mansfield Street. It seems like that area has struggled with violence for a long time, and you have to wonder how much the environment contributes to these incidents. The level of crime back in 2010 must have been terrifying for the residents. It’s frustrating to think about the systemic issues and what it would take to bring genuine change and safety to these neighborhoods. Sending so much strength and peace to George’s family and friends. I hope they find the answers they need soon, and maybe sharing more about these cases will remind the community of the importance of coming together to help solve these cold cases.
