Is anyone else struck by the tragedy of the children who were present during this horrific event? It's terrifying to think that two young boys, just 12 and 14, had to witness such violence in what should have been the safety of a home environment. Their lives are changed forever, and I can't help but think about the kind of trauma they will carry with them. I hope they are receiving the support and counseling they need to process what happened and somehow find a way to lead normal lives. My heart goes out to them and the other survivors. Has anyone heard if there are community efforts underway to help these kids and other victims get through this? Such bravery shown by coming forward to testify, I can't imagine how difficult that must have been for them.
