Hey everyone, I've been following Thomas Page's case and was digging through some old articles and posts. One aspect that really stands out to me is the impact this tragedy has had on his community, especially in Germantown. Thomas was involved with ROTC, and it's clear he was on a promising path before his life was cut short. The fact that he was the 19th teen killed in Philly that year is just devastating. I can't help but think about the ripple effect this has on his friends and neighbors. A young person's loss is felt deeply and widely, not just by family but by all who knew them. I wonder if those living in the area feel safe, knowing this happened under a police camera, yet the perpetrators managed to flee. It must leave a feeling of vulnerability and fear. For those of you in Philly or familiar with similar situations, how does the community heal and find ways to prevent such violence from recurring? What steps can be taken to make people feel safer and more connected? Keeping the community and Thomas's family in my thoughts.
