Hey everyone, just wanted to chime in with something that caught my attention about the Keith Anderson case. I'm curious if anyone else has heard about the discrepancies surrounding the timeline of events. So many oddities around the people involved, especially that business with Buttel. I just read something about him allegedly disappearing soon after Anderson went missing, and isn't it strange he refused a lie detector test? It feels like there's a lot of weight stacked against him.
I know people have mentioned the bloody nose story Buttel told, but has anyone looked further into the injury Anderson's horse had? If the horse was shot with the same caliber as Weaver’s missing gun, could it be possible that Anderson was accidentally shot as well? It seems peculiar that Weaver’s firearm went "missing" right around that same time. Thinking out loud here, but is there any chance they could retry an analysis on the gun despite the rust? Modern tech has come a long way.
And what about the blood in the barn? The manure thing is unsettling. Was there any DNA verification or just assumptions made because of the amount? So many layers here and I feel we're just missing a small piece to unravel the whole thing. Anyone else feel like this could be another Sid Wells-esque situation waiting to be solved? Would love to hear more thoughts or theories!
I've been doing some digging into Keith Anderson's case, mainly because I find the people surrounding these cases to be as intriguing as the cases themselves. Some real characters, right? So, Weaver's barn seems to be the epicenter of this whole ordeal. I find it interesting how many times barns and farms come up in these rural disappearances. Could Weaver have known more than he let on? I mean, having his gun go missing the day after Anderson disappeared seems a bit too convenient. And four months later, the gun just "coincidentally" turns up rusted beyond use forensics? That screams foul play or, at the very least, a serious cover-up attempt to me.
I think what's most bothersome is how no one has ever located Buttel, and given his sketchy past, he might've had help hiding. You can't tell me no one in Colorado knew about the feud between Anderson and Buttel. The local community must have had their suspicions, even if they didn't voice them. This has all the hallmarks of a classic cold case where someone might spill the beans one day because they let something slip at a bar or an old grudge surfaces. Anyone else get that feeling too?
It's just frustrating because you’ve got blood at the scene, a suspect with means and a motive, yet no convictions. If anyone's got other tidbits or theories, I'm all ears. This case deserves some air time!
