Hi everyone, I've been following the case of Amy Diesman, and something that really stood out to me is the lack of security footage from the convenience store. I can't help but wonder, even back in 1987, why there wasn't any surveillance camera capturing the area around the cash register or the entrance. Was this common for stores in smaller towns back then, or was it just unfortunate timing/lack of resources? It seems like even the smallest clue caught on tape could have been the break needed in solving this awful crime. My heart goes out to Amy’s family and friends—they deserve answers after all these years. Does anyone here have insight into security practices at similar places back in the '80s, or any other thoughts on this aspect? Stay safe, everyone.

I've been thinking a lot about Amy Diesman's case and can't help but wonder about the security measures (or lack thereof) at the convenience store where she was working. It's really unsettling that she was alone on a night shift. Did the store have any security cameras back then? I know it was the late '80s, but even basic surveillance could have made a difference. Also, was there any kind of panic button or emergency procedure she could have used? It feels like these measures could have potentially prevented such a tragedy, or at the very least, provided more leads for investigators to follow. My heart goes out to Amy's friends and family; living with unanswered questions for so long has to be incredibly hard. I hope the store has since taken steps to ensure the safety of their employees. Does anyone here know more about what the store has done since then or if there were any witnesses that night?

I came across Amy Diesman's case again today and it's just so unsettling to think about. I keep wondering if there's something about the location of the convenience store that could have played a role. Was it near any high-traffic areas where someone outside the local community might have stopped by? Or maybe there were regulars who had unpredictable behavior? It’s frustrating to imagine that there might have been potential witnesses who were just passing through and never realized they saw something important. Heart goes out to Amy’s family and friends who’ve been living with this uncertainty for so long, hoping for any breakthrough. Has anyone local noticed any changes or developments in the area over the years that investigators might want to look into?
