Does anyone have thoughts on the route Ricky might have taken back to Smyrna? I’ve been mapping out possible paths from Fentress County to Smyrna, and there seem to be several rural roads he could have used that weren’t heavily traveled back in 1989. I wonder if he might have taken a shortcut that involved one of these lesser-known roads. Given the fact that neither he nor his car has ever been found, it makes me think that either his car might've ended up in an area that’s hard to see from the main roads or there’s more to this mystery. Also, his car was a white 1977 Chevy – not the easiest thing to overlook. Anyone familiar with the area back then have insights or thoughts?
