Hey everyone,
I've been thinking a lot about Alfredo Adams' case from 2012, and one thing that really stands out to me is the lack of witness cooperation. It's so painful to imagine how many people might have seen or heard something, but for some reason, choose to stay silent. I understand there might be fear or mistrust of the police, especially in a city dealing with so much violence, but it's frustrating knowing that silence only prolongs the pain for Alfredo’s family.
For those who've been following cases in Detroit around this time, have there been any successful initiatives or community programs aimed at improving witness cooperation? It seems like building a stronger relationship between the community and law enforcement could be key in solving not just this case, but many others too. If we could support or replicate any successful initiatives, perhaps more people would feel safe coming forward.
Thinking of Alfredo's loved ones and hoping that they might someday find answers and peace.
